I have a number of 9mm carbines to play with but this new Ruger 45 LC Carbine has peaked my interest.

Obviously will need a Canada compliant 18.5" barrel. Uses Glock mags, which is nice.

The rifle pictured is for 45 ACP and yup I would love one of those
When you said 45 Long Colt I was like what the heck...
a 45 colt semi would be cool as hell though!!

Your not alone I thought 45 Colt also. Now I have to go have a look.

I wonder if it would meet the minimum OAL requirement with an 18.5" barrel and the folding stock. I'm assuming the rifle is still operable with the stock folded or removed.

Reading a review it appears to be 28" OAL with the 16" barrel and the stock folded. It'll be fine with a CDN compliant 18.5" barrel.

The 5.7 LC Carbine is 22.5 inches in OAL when folded, hence my post. Perhaps the 45 LC uses a longer receiver(?).

Internet information, for what it's worth:

https://www.firearmsnews.com/editor...el pistol,overall length measures 28.7 inches.

"The LC Carbine comes with one Ruger-5.7 steel pistol magazine, M-LOK QD sling socket and hex wrenches for disassembly. Weight is a fairly handy 5.9 pounds and overall length with the stock folded is only 22.5 inches. With the stock unfolded, but fully collapsed, the overall length measures 28.7 inches."

I don't care about 45, ammo costs are too high for punching paper for me, but I love the look and the fact it has the mag well in the grip. Along with a reversible mag release and charging handle, and ambi safety this could be one of the best lefty-friendly PCCs. Just need them in 9mm!
