I am considering buying a ruger 77/17hmr. If anyone has anything good or bad to say about this firearm. Please reply

hmr

I haven't shot mine alot, but this group I shot was among the first 20 rounds I put through it. BTW this was 100 yards. I like it.

I own the Standard Walnut Stock/Blued Barrel 77/17 and would recommend it.
- The wood is actually pretty impressive, quality solid walnut
- The rotary magazines are the best rimfire mags available...period (9 rounds which is a nice bonus)
- The gun is fairly light, just over 6lbs
- Comes with solid Ruger rings (medium height)
- Accurate, I don't know how you could get much more accurate
- Some may say that they would like a trigger job, mine is fine

I will say one more thing:
- The gun functions perfectly 100% of the time. It feeds, fires, extracts and ejects....smooth and flawlessly.

A new gun that functions may not sound like a surprise....but I have purchased 3 guns over the past two years that had issues feeding....firing...and extracting. So if I get a gun that functions 100% of the time, I keep it...praise it and recommend it to others.

Having said that...these guns are getting a little pricey, shop around.
