Ruger 77/22~anybody own one? Opinions?

Hey guys, in my search for 22 Hornet rifle options (not rimfire, I know :) ) I did allot of reading about the Ruger 77/22. http://www.ruger.com/products/rotaryMagazine7722/models.html Most of the rifles are chambered in 22 Rimfire and of course, there is a 77/17 model chambered in 17HMR and now 17 Hornet. Thought I'd take a chance, and see if anyone here has one, what they think of it, accuracy, etc. If you have a 22 Hornet, even better! Is the Ruger 77/22 worthy of it's price tag?
 
I have a brown laminated/all weather (looks like stainless, but is just a coating I think). Feels like a centerfire rifle in heft and size and function. I lightened the trigger by putting in a target weight spring. Shoots fantastic. I know savage makes some great bolt action 22 rifles, but they all look like 22 rifles to me. I love my 77/22. Would love to try a matching one in the new 17RF. If you can find a used one, all the better. I don't care for the ruger tupperware stocks. Rings are standard with them, I think and they are pretty decent, so you save a couple bucks there.
 
I owned a 77/22WMR for some time, and, in a moment of weakness, sold it.
It was a dandy WMR and shot almost all rimfire mag ammo very well.
It also felt like a "real" rifle, not a toy. [just sold a T-bolt due to that feeling]
I believe these are great rifles.

I've had a stainless/canoe paddle model in 22 LR for about 12 years. It's my go-to rimfire rifle. The thing is deadly accurate out to 75 yards, head-shooting grouse.
 
Stock 77/22 22lr with Green Tag ammo at 50yards on a very cold day (goosedown jacket over softshell over a fleece etc etc) Hoping to do better on a warm day;)

I have a 77/22 magnum all weather that I bought in the 90's. It's my go-to small game and varmint rifle, wouldn't trade it for anything. My buddy has a 77/22 hornet (walnut/blued) and he has been very pleased with its performance.

Thanks for the input guys, much appreciated. Looking at the modern 77/22 Varmint (22 Hornet)...she's a fine-looking rifle for sure. Looking hard at the collection...I sense a garage sale coming-on!
