was looking at one of these the other day . this one has the walnut stock with a bead blasted stainless barrel..the cz rifle is about half of what of the ruger is worth .opinions please .
I am a fan of both the Ruger 77/xx platform and the CZ rimfires. I sold my CZ's years ago and went with the Ruger. I find them better built, although the triggers often need aftermarket parts.
I have one of those Ruger 77/22M rifles. It has the laminate stock, and is actually
quite attractive. The best part is, it is a great shooter, running groups at 100 that challenge
any other 2 WMR I have owned. [I had 2 - CZ 425 American 22WMRs]
I did some trigger work, and have a decent trigger on mine now. I plan to keep this one. D.
Flawless 9-round flush mount rotary magazine... I should probably just stop there as I feel my point is made. Build quality is excellent, and in .22 WMR, I have found their accuracy to be superior to CZ.
I picked up a Ruger 77/22 in 22 WRFM a year or so back and decided to lap the bore as there was a rough spot, did a trigger job and got down to testing it for accuracy. The CCI 40 grain jacketed hollow point, maxi mags have given me 5 shot groups just under 1" at 100 yards. The Hornady 30 grain loads are fine too if there is no wind, Remington 40 grain hollow points compare with the CCI's but are a bit more costly. I don't always shoot MOA with this rifle but its capable if I do my part. For what its worth it's scoped with an older 12 power Weaver with a parallax adjustment on the front which is fine for target shooting but not the right glass in the field for this rifle. David.

^not what I needed to hear. lol Been thinking a 22WMR may make it's way back into the collection in 2018. Since the plan would be to have it as an impromptu, 125 yard groundhog slayer...not sure I need such a nice rifle for the job. Should look closer @ the RARs. Just not as pretty.
