How common are the Ruger 77 in .357?

Would make a nice cost effective plinker with cast bullets. I am aware there are several lever options but I prefer bolt actions.

Anyone see one for sale recently?

Thanks.

I have one. Bolt was wobbly, trigger was creepy. Bought shims/upgrades for both, now it is OK. It is a premium priced firearm that is built "just good enough" to sell. Like most American guns.

I sold one late fall in the EE. It was synthetic stainless with two mags original box rings ext. Sold for 1700 and I could have sold acouple if I had them - just to give you a reference point.

The .357 is rare compared to the same rifle in .44 magnum. I have one on .44 and it's not a bad little rifle once you install bolt shims and an improved trigger sear. The biggest thing in its favor is weight. It's a very light and handy rifle but it's a bit hard to justify the price.

I keep looking at them and thinking I want one but the price is an issue. A 44 would be nice but how many 44’s do I need. Multiple handguns and rifles already. If one was chambered in 454 Casull I could probably justify the price.

I have a stainless one. Bought it because I have A LOT of 357/38Spl ammo to burn through. Has iron sights, but I put a 1-4x scope on it for snap shooting and a bit of distance shooting. It is quite accurate with good quality 357mag ammo...not so much with 38 special wadcutters. My only complaint is the rotary mag. It works well, but its a bit fussy to insert and remove. A company in the US was making neat 9 round mags for it. Couldn't find any, so I reached out to the company. They advised that after a lot of initial interest and sales, demand fell off for them, and no more would be made. Here's the link to the mags... https://www.iqmunitions.com/product/77-357-high-capacity-magazine/
