What would a fair price be for one of these in good condition?
Rings only, no scope. A few bumps and bruises but for a hunting
rifle I would rate this at good +.
Yes I know, photos would make it easier.
It's a good decent rifle.
No rust, good bluing, not a closet queen, but an honest hunter.
Thanks, Looky.

I paid 300 for mine but it had mild pitting on the reciever and the stock had to go. I restocked it with a laminated, painted the metal (came out good, bluing still underneath) and got a great hunter in .25-06
I'd say one in good + condition around $450-$550 (tang safety are the mk I series, Push feed/controlled extraction) Mk II got the 3 postion safety on the reciever and changed to true CRF
Mine shoots great, I free floated the barrel as I found that's what mine needed. I have all three generations of the 77 and mine are all shooters.

No such thing as Mark I. Its either a M77 (tang safety), M77 MkII, or a Hawkeye.

The only difference is the tang safety and its a push-feed bolt.

Yes what he said!:agree:

However I do prefer the tang safety models over the Mark II. They just look cleaner to me. I would say about $400-500 would be right, based on the condition and your desire.
