Can anyone definitively tell me what short action calibers the 77 RSI was available in? I have the 243 Win, 250 Sav and 308. Curious if it was ever offered in any other short action cals?

Lipsey's did a 7mm-08 run... in the M77-RSI... maybe there was a run of .300 RCM... that is in my mind from somewhere??? I will do a little investigating and post back here.

222Rem IIRC, and I just found out there was a very limted run of the RSI's doen in 303 brit when they made the 1A's! All of them were for employees and VIP
s however.
Seen them in 270, 30'06, most of the regular cartridges.

Cool, now all I have to do is find one...........I was really hoping for a 7-08 and maybe a 260...........No? Any hope of a 358?

.358 would be nice... but as far as I know, they were never made... nor the .260... the 7mm-08 is a possibility, only requires patience.

Hey Douglas... has the .308 case bug bitten??? Welcome to the fold...

I have the whole .308 family in M77 Hawkeye All-Weathers... very nice line up... I don't mind the overlap and duplication... variety is the spice of life.

Are you only interested in centerfire rifles? They made a dandy little 77/22M RSI in both Blue and Stainless in Walnut... would be a sweet little utility rifle in .22 WMR... dispatching rodents, varmints and such...

The question was about short action RSI variants of the Model 77. Do you say they made the M77 in .303British (which would be long action) or are you expanding the topic to the No.1 rifles? I would have been in on the pre-order of the No.1s in .303British if they were available to us in the RSI version. If are saying some No.1 RSI rifles in .303British are out there it could mean the beginning of a long expensive quest for me.

Well thanks guys, so for sure there are 2 more I don't have. I'll have to keep my ear to the ground. Not in any panic, nor will I pay a ridiculous price, but it gives me something to lust after now.

HNL.......It's not so much that I want a rifle in those calibers as I already have several. It is that I want THAT rifle in those calibers and I'm not willing to sacrifice the ones I have to change the caliber. See I want one of every short action caliber that Ruger offered in the 77 RSI.

A 358 Win would be tres cool, I might just have to rebarrel another 308..........just cause

A .338 Fed would be even cooler... I don't subscribe to the ".308 & .358 are wonderful but the Fed sucks" camp... I find the Fed has the right balance of bore and case capacity for a wonderful medium range big game cartridge.
