Ruger 96/17HMR

I recently picked up a Ruger 96 in 17 HMR. Anyone how many were actually produced? Seller claims in wasn't shot, quick look down the barrel tells me otherwise. All in all still a cool gun.

Ruger's website lists S/N dates from 620-00527 (1996) to 620-57522 (and up for 2009). Those figures represent all the rimfire models, so ~60000 units total but it's not broken down by calibre. Ruger may be able to give you a more specific number.
