so here's the story, i've recently acquired a ruger 96/22LR. it is in a little rough shape, but not too bad. i like this little gun, all except for the trigger, it breaks at about 7lbs.

if i have to, i will try my hand at lightening up the trigger, but i would prefer getting a 'smith to do it in case i bone it. the problem is all the local gunsmiths i know don't want to touch it. there is one guy in the states who does them, and he will not do work outside of the USA.

any suggestions, help?

i've asked this in the gunsmithing section, it's been up for a couple days, has 8 views and no replies, so i'm hoping i get a little more response here in the rimfire section.
