Ruger American 22 Mag

Recently purchased a Ruger American chambered in a 7mm-08. I haven't shot it yet but am impressed with the rifle. During the research phase of the purchase, I came across several reviews for the American rimfire version. My question has two parts: Are they as good as the reviewers say? Obviously there are people out there who have bought and used them. I would be interested in hearing from actual users.
Secondly where are the 22 WMR available (preferably in western Canada) and at what cost?

.22WMR has been hard to find, well at least here in Ottawa. I think it is down to two reasons which are panic buying in USA and many are returning to .22WMR after leaving for it for.17HMR. I think you should have more supply out West. Go get one you won't regret it.

I have a 22 wmr in a marlin, it has been a very accurate varmint killer for me, I have $75 in it with a 3x9x40 Gander Mt scope on it. I have had a 22 wmr since I was 12 sold the first one and didn't go long and bought this one. I will always have one they are awesome too!!!!!
