Ruger American .45 pistol

Probably looking at 3-6 months.

Trigger reset on the .45 is way more distinct than on the 9mm. Shoots pretty well. Not sure how the price point is going to be compared to what we're used to just on the basis of the CDN dollar, but everything will be going up now.

I found I could shoot the American best by using a flip-and-press approach, like a DA revolver.

...flip-and-press?

Thats a nice pistol and anything ruger is to hell and back......anyone stocking it in 9mm in canada?....why would u want it in .45? ........ .45 is for a 1911 only in my world

Pretty common in some shooting circles, generally used amongst people who are looking to determine whether they're hitting peak performance in their trigger press. If you're in the habit of debating the pros and cons of riding the sear in your trigger press, you'll know it. If not it's probably foreign.

Come all the way off the trigger on every press rather than riding the reset.

Ah. Actually I didn't know there was another way to use the trigger when shooting a revolver DA (get all the way off the trigger, squeeze, off the trigger.) With an auto, riding the reset just makes sense (SA...1911) Why is it referred to as "flip and press"? I understand the "press" aspect, but what is being "flipped"?
