Looking for some owners opinions on these rifles, seeing as they now make them in left hand I am in store for another rifle. Are they worth it or am I wasting my money. Looking for some honest good and bads on these rifles

I'm still saving up for one in .308.

The ones I have handled in store have felt like nice light stalking rifles.

I'm more of an offhand or shooting stick person then having a chunky bipod attached to my rifle so the flexy forend isn't much a worry for me.

I do wonder about the longevity of the magazine though and wonder if we will see an aftermarket one come out someday.

My late Brother used one for Wolf hunting during the last winter before he was taken by cancer and he was very impressed and believe me it took a damn decent rifle for him to give praise..... he really liked it..

The magazines work fine - easy to load, and they feed reliably. The latch is hinged with a metal spring, so it won't break due to polymer flex fatique. I have no complaints with my RAR as a hunting rifle. Great value for the money.

I have one in .243. It is reasonably accurate (around an inch for 5 shots at 100 meters with loads it likes), very smooth feeding, and the magazine works like a charm. The fore-end does seem a little flexible, but doesn't actually touch the barrel unless a lot of pressure is put on it, (much more than you are likely to ever use). The only concern I had was that the trigger on mine, while adjustable, was only adjustable to between moderately heavy and very heavy, and there was some gritty travel before the sear broke. I have since found a way to remedy that by taking 1 and 3/4 coils off the trigger spring and CAREFULLY stoning the engagement surfaces with a fine and then very fine stone, (more of a polish than any real metal removal). I'm not recommending this trigger work to anyone, just saying what worked for me. All in all, I am quite happy with this rifle, especially considering the price. Hope that helps.

I have one in .270, Its been my Go to hunting rifle for 3 years now. No issues to report. I like it so much I just ordered a Boyds stock for it. The factory stock flexes easily, which is the only complaint I have.

Paid 349 when they first came out. Groups amazing for a 350$ gun...

Please explain how disposable they are?

That would be a cheap rifle that I wouldn't miss if it fell off the tail gate and ran over by a loaded b-train or was lost when the canoe tipped, lent to someone and lost, burnt up in a fire, etc. You get it now?
