Hey, wondering if anybody here thinks this is worth a warranty claim or if I should just buy an aftermarket stock. It looks like a pain in the ass to get warranty service. Has anybody dealt with Ruger on stuff like this?

The barrel looks straight but the stock touches the barrel when its hot, and it just bothers me in general.

Just received this a couple weeks ago from gotenda.

Mine was pretty similar. I removed a bunch of material from the barrel channel and then inletted and jb welded a couple of small metal rods into it. Probably more effort than the rifle is worth, but i was bored and avoiding other more strenuous projects.

Yeah, I read in reviews that was common for the guns.

Thanks guys, if other people are living with it then I will too.

The AR15 magazine release button looks like it will catch the shooter's thumbnail. If the barrel channel is off-centre, get out the abrasives. If the magazine release is bothersome, do likewise.

Mine was sort of like this but it was always "free floated". No noticeable effect to the performance of the firearm.

Had mine out today and noticed the same.... 100 yards....just starting to dual it in with a primary arms 6x and some fiocci....going to try and get it a bit better than try the maple ridge muzzle device....I’m happy so far!

Shot this group yesterday at ~100 yds with norinco FMJ, a bipod and no rear bag so I'm pretty happy with it so far. Once the competition is done at my range I'll be able to get it on a real bench at a known distance and dial in the scope properly. Great rifle.
