$652 seems really cheap! Could someone give me a breakdown of the pricing from irunguns.com? I assume it’s the price plus $25 USD and then add 30ish percent exchange rate and taxes?

You can buy one now on the US site for $465 USD + $25 USD import/shipping to Canada. So that's about $690 CDN to get it to Alberta, then another $50ish in taxes and shipping to your door. Since it's now past the 15th, you'd be waiting about 6 weeks if you ordered today.

AR mag or the flush rotary mag version? The AR mag models are a bit more expensive, and the ones I could find in stock at other dealers were over 800. IRG seems to have the best price.

If the account is tied to an accepted payment method, there's no reason you couldn't. If you're using USD to paid off a balance after it's been converted to CAD then you're eating the spread twice and will pay an extra 6-7% though.

There are two portions to the total charge -

1. Purchase of the firearm and US Shipping (from Arizona to the IRG in Canada) of $25 - all in USD

2. Canadian GST and Canadian Shipping (from IRG in Canada to your home) - all in CAD

For the first portion, if you need to import, it's done through the IRG.com website. From what I remember, they only take credit card payment - so you will need to have a USD credit card to pay and then use funds from your USD account to settle your credit card bill to avoid the currency exchange fee.

Alternatively, there are Canadian credit cards on the market where the issuer does not charge the currency exchange fee (typically 2.5%) or give your cashback enough to offset the fee. I believe the IRG sub-forum here have a thread that talks about the various options.

For the second portion, since IRG charges you in CAD, you will just use your "regular" credit card to pay it like for all your CAD purchases.
