For no other reason than I don't have one of these I just went in on a Pre-order on a Ruger American Ranch rifle chambered in 450 Bushmaster. My question is does anyone have one or had any experience with one. I'll be looking for options and or suggestions inre: optics for this rifle..I'm looking at no more than 100 yds where I hunt ..

Here's a free BTT for you! I can't comment on this topic, but that gun (or the Scout) in that chambering is calling out to me...I hope you get some information in this thread, and also do a review of yours when it arrives. 
Rifle is due in May or June of this year is the only info I have at this time...Will let you know when it comes in....I'm also trying to source ammo right now....Grouse River says they are getting some Hornady 450 Bushmaster ammo in also sometime in the next few months

Grouse River fell thru...BUT...I did get one from Corlanes in B.C....Also ordered in some ammo from General Gun which is my local store. ...will be putting a scope on it and will let you know the results

I have no practical help for you, but I'd go with something in Leupold because all their optics, even the rimfires, are tested up to .375 H&H, which is a plus for your big cartridge on a light gun. Not to mention good light transmission and durability.
EDIT Actually given the .450's ballistics, I might go with a red dot if you're not pushing 100.

So, did I miss the thread on it's arrival?
The rifle was supposed to come in thru Grouse River...You can guess on how that turned out...
Be pretty interested to hear how they shoot. I have a RARR in 5.56 and love it, but these ones kind of make me want to switch. Anybody want to trade? Lol. Also excited for the Magpul stock due out this fall, but I may end up with an MDT instead.
