RUGER AMERICAN RANCH RIFLE in 5.56 accepts AR-Style Mags

I didn't know the 7.62x39 version of this would accept the mini 30 mags as well? Wow, good to know

There are 2 models of 762x39, one uses the rotary mag and one uses the mini-30 mags, same with the 223 model one for rotary mags and one for ar style mags.

Excellent rifle. I have the Mini 30 mag version and took 3 of my 5 deer on Haida Gwaii this fall and it performed excellent. It shoots clover leaf groups with 123gr Federal Fusion ammo. Will be handloading to see if it is even better but have been very pleased with it's performance.

FYI for those of you considering getting one of the Ruger American Ranch rifles with AR15 mags, you can use LAR pistol mags to get the capacity back up to 10 rounds and be legal. I've had mine for sometime now and I love it. Shoots like a house on fire....very accurate. Just make sure that the barrel is centred in the stock. Some where made with the older stock mold and the barrel touches the side of the stock and is not free floating. It's my favourite rifle. I only wish the darn things came with iron sights. My ultimate ruger would have iron backup sights and be in stainless.
