Good day I placed my order thru Murdoc for a .270 Ruger "American rifle "

This will be my deer gun and this is my 1st .270...

I allready own a Vortex PST 4-16-50 and I dont want to spend that much coin on a new scope...

I will be running EGW rings since I like them :p

Lets say a 500$ budget must have adjustable turrets... I know nothing about scopes so take it easy on me.

cheers

why adjustable turrets? its going to be a deer gun right not a benchrest shooter.
by a leupold vx1 or vx2 3x9 good to go no need to spend a ton of money.

Buy the VXII Canadian Edition that allows you to get a customized turret, made to your specs, for $49 plus shipping. I got one and am very happy with it. I believe Wholesale Sports (online) still have some, all told about $400.

I really like the redfields for inexpensive scopes but if your budget is $500 you're nipping at Zeiss Conquest, Leupold VX-3, etc territory and would probably be better off with one of those.

Sounds good ... Decided on 4-12x40mm Redfield Revolution Riflescopes now my next question is accu-range vs four-plex

pros and cons for the guys that have them

Cheers

I have 5 of the Redfield Revolution scopes, all have the Accu Range. The only scope i will buy with a duplex reticle is one with an elevation turrent on it.

i just got the 4-plex one yesterday after in 4-12x paid $324 + tax. didn't really shop around too much, sort of a spur of the moment decision.
