We've had a fair amount of interest in these rifles and it's understandable why, these rifles blend the features of Rugers old Ranch Rifle series with their successful Ruger American line. The resulting rifle is a little shorter overall than the Ruger American Compact without sacrificing any length of pull, but still nice and light at 6 lbs. The synthetic stock in flat dark earth features a soft rubber buttpad, front and rear sling swivel studs, and grip serrations in the pistol grip and forend. The cold hammer forged barrel is free floated for accuracy, threaded, and finished in matte black. Check it out, at only $599 you won't run into much else at this price point that will perform as well as these rifles.

i was torn between this and the Ruger Predator and in the end went with the Predator for the longer barrel, LOVE THAT GUN!

i still do regret not getting the ranch as its listed to be able to shoot 5.56 where the Predator is not.

are you sure the Ranch is .223????

all the ones ive seen are labeled 5.56
Rugers website also lists that gun as 223/5.56 with that same SKU you have listed.
just thought id mention that, lots of people will like that gun more if they know they can run 5.56 in it.

Been looking for these for months and finally when I order from US, there is a Canadian dealer that decides to stock them. Oh well.

Ditto on the spare mags. I wanted this rifle, but got the regular compact because at the time it seemed like the last in the country & thought the price of the ranch would jump a couple hundred $. Oh well, the black compact is nice. I would've liked the 5.56 chamber & threaded muzzle though

I love mine! Mine is chambered in 300 Blackout though, it's a tack driver at 100 yards. I have my trigger down to 2.5lbs with a a little modification to the trigger spring and also added a Glades Armory bolt handle, S&J Linear Comp and a Harris bipod. Hope to take a deer with this guy one day.

Any chance you guys will be getting the newest model of the Ranch in 5.56/.223 that accepts AR mags? Trying to avoid importing it if I can buy one in Canada.

Thx!

I didn't even know they made such a beast... I was waiting for the new Remington (that looks curiously similar to this rifle) to come out, but with ar mags, I'd go this way for sure.

Presented at Shot Show 2018 IIRC.
