Ruger American Rifle Ranch .223 Rem

I have one, and will vouch for it. There was a glitch with mine when new and it would not shoot. After taking the stock off there was an injection molding nub that had not been trimmed off pressing on the barrel. A couple snips with toenail clippers(what I had handy in the bedroom, dont ask) and shoots great! The bolt smooths quickly with you for those that pick that up as a drawback.

You have the model that accepts AR Mags? Where did you buy it?

I can only see the Ruger American Rifle Predator .223 Rem. on the website. .... ami i missing something after clicking on link....?

I was told it cannot be imported because Ruger send a 10 rounds mag with those

That doesn't make sense.

According to RCMP Bulletin 72:

"3. Magazines designed or manufactured for both centrefire calibre semiautomatic rifles and other (non-semiautomatic) rifles

Magazines designed to contain centrefire cartridges and designed or manufactured for use in a semiautomatic rifle are limited to five cartridges. However, magazines designed to contain centrefire cartridges and designed or manufactured for use in a rifle other than a semiautomatic or automatic rifle, do not have a regulated capacity. Magazines that are designed or manufactured for use in both semiautomatic rifles and other (non-semiautomatic) rifles are subject to the semiautomatic rifle limit of five cartridges."

If the LAR 10rd AR pistol mag can be considered as being "designed and manufactured" for a pistol (which it is, hence the 10rd capacity). The Ruger mag supplied with this rifle - if it is made by Ruger for this rifle - is not subject to a regulated capacity. The fact that it *may also* fit semi-auto rifles shouldn't be an issue.

Hilarious. Somebody just miiiiiight pop off 10 rounds in a pretty slow fashion on the farm versus 5 rounds. That full semi auto bolt action manual stick shift rifle might just lose control and run off on its own lol
