So..... Been a thinkin about getting one. In .30-06. How does everyone that has one so chambered like it or what?
Been doin a bit of research on it and seems legit, but would like some real input from the "brotherhood". WHAT SAY YOU ALL?????

Yeah, I'm half cut but hey! Not everybody can drink mid=week and get away with it, so I'm just doin my duty as a red blooded Canoodian boy and fillin in where others can't!

I had one here in tree oh ate and other than the plasticky mag, kind of liked it.
My buddy grabbed it for his son.
I'd pick this over the Axis or Savage's.
Not horribly priced.
From here, it would be the Vanguard S1 or S2.
With the odd six, the S2 would be a bit better choice as it is a heavier rifle
if recoil is an issue.
Lots of win on the Ruger American.

Agreed, I'd take one over an Axis in a heartbeat. The only thing I don't care for is the magazine release, but it doesn't seem to have been a big issue for anyone yet. It's definitely near the top of the pile when it comes to bargain rifles.

I'm saving up for one. I'm not sure what caliber yet, depends on what is available when I go shopping.

Youtube has lots of reviews.
The NutNfancy one is pretty good.

30-06 may have some kick to it in the light stock.

Just bought one last Friday in a 7mm08. Did a fair bit of research and read a lot of reviews before purchasing. All the"gun guys" gave it positive reviews. Never ran across one bad review. In that price range you had the option of Axis, Remington783, Mossberg 4x4 and the Ruger American. I didn't like the Axis-didn't "feel right", declined the 783 because it was a Remington, bought a Mossberg so the option left was the Ruger. I liked the power bedding, easily ajustable trigger, light weight. Looking forward to shooting it.

I have one in .243 and my neighbour has one in .30-06. Both function well, accuracy is decent (varies between .75 to 1.5 inches depending on load/day/coffee shakes etc.), are light and handy. I, for one, like the magazine release. The only issue I have had is the trigger is only "allegedly" adjustable; the adjustment screw doesn't do anything on my rifle. The trigger pull is okay, but not wonderful. The rotary magazine is cool, and extras don't require a second mortgage. Hope this helps.
