Ruger Announces Six New PC Carbine Models

Ouch!
They don't hurt the wallet that's for sure.
The reliability and accuracy is also not painful and easy to get used to.... :)

Maybe your right and Buckbrush was talking about economic feasibility..... I understood it as mechanical feasibility.

I was speaking from an end user perspective. If you've ever tried to control a ump45 in full auto you will know exactly why.

For semi auto civvie usage i would wager it's not a popular enough cartridge to justify it.

I would totally go for a stainless. Maybe cerakote it to make it non-reflective.

(I seem to recall rumors that magpul might make a backpacker-like stock?)

Would like SIG P250/320 magwell.

The handguard looks like it's dangling off the barrel; somehow my sense of rightness is saying they should be centred.

But the other thing that occurs to me is that the back half looks the same, so they could maybe sell just the guard/barrel bit for people to swap onto their existing carbine.

Wouldn't it still be inferior to a P90 in every way?

Cheaper simpler magazine system(assuming it uses the five seven magazine). Conventional manual of arms. Takedown feature combined with nr makes it ultra compact more so than an nr p90. Oh and its like 1/3 the price. Keep in mind im speaking from the perspective of a civvie joe shooter. Oh one definite technical advantage would be height over bore. P90 is horrible for that.

Yes for a mil/le/contractors the p90 is a proven sub/pdw and this wouldnt be as appealing.
