A lot of pistol enthusiasts are trying to unload their MK IIIs as trade-ins for MK IVs. It would appear that the dealers don't want them because of their poor resale value. This is unfortunate as the MK IIIs are an excellent pistol. The only real issue that I perceive with the MK III is the take apart for cleaning. Comments????

Only that used Mk-II guns were and are still a better deal than the 3 and 4 and that reassembly of the II is only an issue for the non-intuitive and ham-fisted. I was cleaning mine at 13, before the Internet was even a wet dream...

I wouldn't touch a 3 with a stick, mostly because of the fugly chamber flag.

my thumbs must be broken, id prefer to hot wax my..... nether regions - than take down my MK3.

but i didnt get my first one until i was in my 40's, so well past the learning curve.
now see if i was a 10 year old girl id have no problem i guess.
that said i dont have a MK4 and i would snap up any MK3 that was selling for a song that the dealers want to clear out!

I have a Mark II which is an excellent gun however this is a factory Pachmyer version that requires a grip removal to get at the take down mechanism. Great pistole other then this nuisance.

Never like rubber grips.

Always felt that Mershon and Pachmayr should have boiled in a cauldron of molten rubber for inventing them. ;)

Mark 3 was a def8nite step back from a 2. But with a little help from Volquartzen, it makes an excellent 22. Though a pain to disassemble. I wouldnt sell mine, but I understand the value drop. Mk II and IV are better guns by far.
