Ruger BX50 mags sold out

Meh.

Tried the H3CR mag which a CGN sponsor here in Calgary had on the shelf a couple weeks ago and let me tell you that it rocks! I'll be buying more of those for sure. Why even worry about the prohib BX25 or the bulky and expensive BX50 when there are better options available?

Kudos though to HiCal for bringing these Ruger mags in. I'm sure they'll sell very well; just not to me.

Most non-prohib 10/22 mags will fit the Charger, its what they are marketed for that determines the designation, just like you can use the LAR 10 rd pistol mag in a rifle....

No one has addressed that the BX-50, still says BX-25 on the side, just because someone "says" it is a new mag doesn't matter. It says BX-25 on the side. So... is the BX-25 prohib? If so, then so is the BX-50 if it says BX-25 on the side. Recall they get us for advertising some as for a handgun and that is good enough to prohibit it, so actually saying on the mag that it is a prohibited mag, can't see how it wouldn't be prohib. But again, like I said, I will be buying them from a bricks and mortar store when I see them. Just like I bought 10 LAR15 mags but no longer own an AR. We need to stand up to these redunculous laws.

whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa...hold on a second here. are these the answer to bx-25's being prohib in canada? is it just two bx-25's molded together permanently by ruger? does it list the ruger charger on the packaging?

No they made it for the 10/22 for the Canadian market exclusively.

They designed and manufactured it for the 10/22 only.. so... ya....

The proper name for them is not BX50, it`s actually BX25-2 because its pretty much 2 BX25 taped together like the butler creek mags. I know it`s sounds silly, but the '-2' in the name makes the difference.

holy molly!

$110!!!! no bashing on the seller but here in WA they are less than $50.....sure is funny to see the difference in pricing. Here in WA and in the US in general a norinco M-305 is worth about $900-1000, same for a SVT-40. Pmags are like $12-20...but you cannot get any .22 LR ammo. Any way not trying to hijack the thread, I still appreciate Canadian business bringing new product!

I don't understand this. How is it prohibited when the new packaging has no mention of the previous issue and also WHY would a huge company such as BASS PRO try to sell something available at all their stores in CANADA to try and sell a prohibited item. That makes no sense at all to me.

X2 feel the same

The BX25 are still prohibited.

Bass pro pulled em off the shelf after realizing their mistake.

As of last Sunday they are still on the shelf at BP in Vaughan Mills. If a constable doesn't ask any questions in regards to my 30 round aftermarket rim fire mags I don't see the words BX 25 setting off any alarms... at least I hope not because three of them jumped in my basket and demanded that I take them home with me. Does anyone have the link to the thread started back when this (BX 25) issue started?
