Ruger Carbine .44 mag... opinions

Yup. I have a bushnell 1.5-5 X 32 (SG scope) on mine. Works perfect for this gun, and I zoom it right back to 1.5 when I'm dogging. Mine shoots an honest 2.5-3" at 100 if I do my part.

I use the same scope on my 44 lever. It's good enough out to the 100 yd max range this gun is capable of. I love mine, taken 2 muleys with it. I carry it mostly walking the dog and blast beavers with it. It's light enough and knocks them down no problem. Not a precision rig by anymeans, just a fun gun.
I am also looking for a deerfield carbine (4-shot) anyone.

I bought a B&L Elite 3000 1.5-4.5 X32 from a board member, I think it will do the trick... only thing is I got the scope on, was all excited to sight it in and I only had 6 rounds left in my box

I have had 1 for 30 plus year's has never let down , have taken many, many nice deer with it great little powerful bush gun enjoy.

After looking around for quite some time, and other people's views, I'm starting to realize the bolt-action version is harder to find than an honest lieberal?? Has anyone seen/fired/came across one of these rifles? I'm curious as to the quality and feel of the action.

Are you refering to the M77/44? if so yes I just bought one myself. I've owned 3 of the semi auto's and I wanted to try the bolt version with hard cast bullets. The action is very small and seems to be rear locking instead of front locking, other than that it feels pretty smooth, I've yet to fire it because I ordered a Burris shortmag scope for it but it has not arrived yet
