Ruger Carbine .44 Magnum

I am looking for advice from someone who loads hunting ammo for the Ruger Carbine .44 Mag. semi auto. I am looking for a good load for a hunting bullet and powder combination that feeds and ejects well from this rifle.

Good results with 23.0gr of W296 and 240gr Hornady HP/XTP bullets in my .44 mag. Deerfield Carbine, ~1700 fps MV -

The deerfield is a totally different action, its the same as a mini 14. My old ruger carbine will eat anything without a hiccup. I've used it successfully on deer with both jacketed and keith style lead bullets.

H110 24 grains with a 240 gr jacketed bullet. Those semis like it hot.

Will they shoot the heavier bullets as well ,like 265gr + 300 gr or is the twist too slow? Harold

The keith style I'm using are weighing in at more than 265gr and work great.
