Ruger has finally built and released a left handed version of their 10/22, calling it Ruger model 31110. From what I can tell, it's a custom shop gun that you can order not through the catalogue and not just directly from the custom shop. I know I will be getting one once they are available in Canada!

Takes special LH 10 round magazines. I wonder if they made a LH BX25 that didn't work with the Charger, and they didn't make a stupid LH Charger, us lefties would have sweet mags again?

That suggested retail price caught my eye. Ouch.

I will never understand a 10/22 fan. They’re the greatest 22 of all time after sinking $1500 into it ! This is a very extreme and long overdue move for them and, no surprise it costs a fortune for a mediocre 22. Ive never had an issue shooting those left, but I’m surprised that with all of them that they sell they haven’t don’t this sooner.

The burnt eye lashes and un-burnt powder from cheap ammo burning my face has always been a turn off for me. Even wearing shooting glasses, I still feel specs of stuff burn my face.

I get that even as a right hander, shooting right hand guns. I always just took it as "Its a rimfire thing"

Hm, interesting, good to see more manufacturers getting into the LH market. Hopefully a LH version will trickle down into their base-model 10/22, not just the expensive competition model. My brother is left-handed, and although he is okay with shooting a right-handed 10/22, he is often (justifiably) complaining about the small number of manufacturers who make left-handed guns, so I'm happy to see another big brand in the LH game.

This gun uses magazines strictly for the left handed version, so that would mean that these magazines will not fit in a Ruger Charger pistol.

Therefore does that mean a 25 round magazine for a lefty Ruger 10-22 will not be prohibited.

Think about it..

Detachable, left-handed 10-round rotary magazine features a unique rotor to separate cartridges and provide reliable feeding. Not compatible with standard right-handed 10/22® magazines. See ShopRuger.com for left-handed 10/22® magazines.

Look at Ian Runkle's vid about this. Likely whenever a 25-mag comes out it will be "legal" until they make a Charger LH.

BTW- just wanted to add , I wouldn't buy either RH or LH anyway - too IN-accurate for the money !! I already own shotguns that cost LESS ! and are more accurate.
