Does anyone know who might be carrying the Ruger 10MM GP-100?

Has anyone bought one yet? I am thinking it should be my next gun purchase. Using moon clips I could find a use for some of the 40Cal brass I have laying around here.

I got one a while back when they first came out from IRG but I just checked and both the Canadian and US websites don't have any listed at the moment.
So far it has been a great revolver and the moon clips make for quick reloads, just like the S&W 625's
Hopefully you will be able to find one.

I bought the revolver Tillsonberg had for sale along with 100 pieces of brass. It should be here middle of next week. I'll post a short range report when it arrives. I now have to source about six more moon clips. Anyone have any experience with 40cal/10mm moon clips or who might carry them. Tillsonberg had none.

I am glad that you were able to find one, I hope that you will get lots of use and enjoyment out if it.
I got my extra moon clips from IRG when I got the revolver and I haven't seen any listed anywhere but if I do spot any I will let you know. ( just did a quick search and the one Canadian website that came up was Prophet River Firearms but the page wasn't found, maybe they might be able to get some more in for you.)
The Ruger moon clips have a split in-between each cartridge and they are a lot easier to load and unload than the S&W moon clips, I have no problems with the Ruger just loading and unloading them by hand.

I just bought 16 Ranch Product moon clips. They should be here middle of next week along with three more Ruger moon clips from Snapshot, the Ruger warranty outfit in Quebec.. I have sourced a mooner demooner set up just waiting for the shipping estimate. This toy comes with more than a few chains and I have not bought moon clip holders yet. I have sourced them just have not pulled the trigger on them. The good news is the gun will fit my holster for my .357 GP-100.

Good to hear that you are were able to find some moon clips.
What mooner/demooner are you getting?
I have been using the same moon clip holders that I have for my S&W 625.
Yes it is good that the 357 and 10 mm use the same holster.

I have the CCW Moon Clip Loading/Unloading tool coming from Dillon Precision. I wanted to get one via Tenda but after I worked it all out Dillon was cheaper even after factoring the USD exchange rate. I got Ranch Products moon clips coming. They are dirt cheap, just over a buck a piece US. I have it on good authority they are thick enough to be used with 40 cal cases and still get reliable ignition from the 40's. Check them out and PM me for the retailer in the US. They had my order out the same day and right now the pkg is on a plane heading for Vancouver. The revolver is in Richmond or at least it was yesterday. It should arrive Tomorrow or Wednesday. I have a few 10MM rounds loaded and 200 40's so it should be a fun week-end playing with my new blaster.

Good to know, so far I think I have everything I need but if that changes I will PM you for the info.
I have never tried using 40S&W in mine so hopefully you will not have any troubles.
Hopefully your revolver will arrive soon.

Well the revolver arrived on Tuesday, two days early! O tool it out and quickly found out reloading lead bullets is not as simple as throwing them in to the case. Turns out any amount of lube, minute slivers of lead you might have caused to reside on the bullet has the potential to prevent the case from seating fully into the cylinder. This results in the case rim hanging on the face plate and your cylinder won't rotate. Not good. Well after trying to solve the issue by every way possible I fell over myself when I discovered each round should be wiped clean, especially the exposed nose of the bullet. Do that and the gun ran flawlessly. With and without moon clips in 10MM. The Ruger supplied moon clips will not reliably allow 40 cal cartridges to set off. It was bang, bang, click, click. bang. The clips are to thin. The Ranch Product clips will work with the 40 cal cartridges being thick enough to hold the cartridge closer to the faceplate allowing the firing pin to do it's thing.

Fit and finish on this gun is excellent. Trigger pull is smooth with a clsean break in DA and very light in SA. I like the grips they fit my hands perfectly. That said the 10MM using 180 gr lead bullets lets you know when cartridges are ignited. Not like a .44 but heavy none the less. I may put the rubber grips that came with my GP-100 .357 on the gun to ease the poke against my hands and in particular my shoulders.

Next up is to order 1K 200 gr Campro bullets from Tenda. Next spring I will order moon clip holders (2), some more moon clips and a RCBS 200 gr mold. It will be a toss up next spring as to which gun finds its way to the firing line. The cost of the revolver is likely going to be the least expensive part of this purchase.

I'll throw a picture up tomorrow if I have time.

A shout out to Tillsonburg Gun Shop for getting the revolver out to me so quickly.

Here she is. 6 grains of 231, which is 1/10th of a grain above minimum for the 175 gr Lyman bullet runs 1090fps with a Standard Deviation of 8. I have ordered 1K Campro 200 gr bullets to play with along with a box of 50 Federal factory. I'll hard cast some 200 gr bullets to use for carry under my Wilderness Permit. I plan to do some gold panning up here next summer. Recoil is more than my stiffest .357mag rds but less than 44magnum. I may add a lighter trigger return spring and a lighter mainspring later. I still have moon clip holders to order (2), but don't need them until next spring. "She who knows best" is just getting over the extra $300 spent on moon clips, moon clip loader, and the 1K Campro bullets and the coming $125 for a 200 gr bullet mold. :>)

I'm eager to hear how it runs with different loads. I was very close to buying one but went with another Tavor instead. Have you considered having the chambers reamed for 10mm Magnum? It's quite a potent cartridge.

Nope. I think I am at my limit for shooting accurately at 15 meters at speed. The gun is destined to be my backup to a Mossberg 12 gauge. The chances of running into a bear that has an interest in me as a meal really is not that great. For the most part they are pretty timid and really don't want to have anything to do with two leggeds. The guns are for the times when the bears have not read the manual. MY experience up until now is they tend just to wander off. I can't shoot anything more than 10MM fast enough and my body won't stand up to the practice necessary to get better at anything larger.

I intend to explore the gun using 40 S&W cartridges loaded down to 155PF using 175 gr bullets to see how they compare to 158 and 200 gr 357Magl bullets loaded to the same PF. for IDPA ESR Division

I may even try going <105PFr for steel shoots. Lots of different variables with this hobby and it is fun to see where it all leads to.
