Ruger GP100 4.2" .357

Have not head anything on the Redhawk yet but Ruger told me they are on there way. When i got the GP100 i was told that they are slow moving to get to Canada and we might not see any till Oct. With that i got the "blued" 4.2" just to be on the safe side for the time being. Will post pics when the pistol shows up.

[semantics]Technically, a revolver is not a "pistol" because the chamber(s) is not integral to the barrel. The proper term would be "handgun".[/semantics]

Looking forward to the pics!

"Pistol" can legitimately refer to any type of handgun, including revolvers. For example, the complete official name for the Webley Mk VI was Pistol, Revolver, Webley, No. 1 Mk VI.

Ruger has been onboard with the National Firearms Association's member magazine, Canadian Firearms Journal, as a paid advertizer for quite some time now. The guys at Ruger have been great and very sympathetic to the plight of legal gun owners in Canada. They make good guns and I would hope everyone who is in a position to do so, would opt to pick up one of these great revolvers; and show Ruger that Canadian shooters appreciate that extra effort! Do that and perhaps other manufacturers will follow Ruger's example!:)

I was looking for a reason...any reason to buy this revolver. Damn you! :p

I'm already 12.6, yet I'm drawn the short-barreled version nevertheless. And although I own a total of five 12.6 revolvers and no non-12.6ers, I still want the 4.2"

But you can buy a used 4" for a fraction of the price???

Also ordered several different types of wood grips from Hogue.

I still want a couple sets of those older rubber/rosewood grips though. They look nice also.

No, but that was the 1st thing I did when they met each other. I felt so powerful and special.
