I am going to be getting into IDPA using the GP100 4.2 and was wondering what people use for holsters, speed loaders etc. And where do you get them? None of my local places have anything.

I'll probably go kydex but would prefer leather.

Thanks.

Penner Custom Leather made both my holster and speed loader holders. Top Notch work. Google him, and send him an email, it's well worth it. I've used his gear for a season and a half shooting IDPA, and I'm very pleased.

I got my speedloaders from Brownells (Jetloaders) and my holders along with a holster from Blade-Tech. +1 on Penners holsters though. He does nice work if your preference is leather.

Incidently I have the GP 100 in stainless and love it. Very accurate and solid. I ordred a HI-Viz front FO sight for it as well. My eyes aren't what they used to be and I want to give Jim S a run for it in SSR next year at the Alberta Provincials.

try with a PM to 6gm6 at Frontenac IDPA , he has just set himself up to shoot with the same gun here in our group. He bought a Fobus holster I believe, but has the loaders and other gear and just did so , so likely has sources still at hand. good luck..

Blade-Tech doesn't appear to be making revolver holsters. There seems to be a decided lack of Kydex revolver holsters, everywhere.

This isn't true. I just bought a Kydex revolver holster from them for my GP100. Their website appears to be under construction. Easiest to phone or send them an email with what you want.

Any IPSC/IDPA legal 4" holster will do. Kydex is firearm specific though. Don't forget the pouches for the speed loaders. And a good gun belt. The belt is as important as the holster.

I do already shoot IPSC so have all the equipment other than the revolver specific stuff.

I found a Ruger 4.2" (blued!), holster on the way (leather- Penner)

Still searching for speed loaders/holders- probably safariland or jet loaders. I want to avoid brownells order but may have to go that way.

I'm thinking either the DOH or the SpeedRig for IPSC
