It was a daft idea for them to put a fixed sight on it to begin with, when the regular GP100 is adjustable (plus the fact that Novaks on a revolver just look like some sort of Bubba job)

I had the fortune of buying my non-Match Champion, 4.25" GP-100 when they were significantly cheaper than the S&W 686. Now that you can find some "regular" GP-100s at almost par the cost of 686s, I'd have a hard time choosing one over a 686, never mind the Match Champion.

I have one, my first handgun. Didn't want a Smith (yet anyway, who knows), liked the GP but not the 1/2 lug, had the cash so went for it. Trigger is smoother, DA is stagey but predictable.
