Well I've taken the plunge into the wheel gun arena...
I've already grabbed a holster and a nice set of paneled grips from w ww.chigsgrips.com...

Have not shot it as I can't get any time to yet, and can not possibly watch another youtube review...

I'm looking to pick up some speedloaders and can't find a line through my lazy sponsor searches any recommendations???

Also as always I value any/all your expert advise on anything related to my new buddy/ammo/loads...

Thanks in advance...

Get the Safariland comp II or III from speedloaderstore.com. These speed loaders are tough to find in Canada, and are much better than the more common HKS ones IMHO.

Go Comp III or Jetloaders. Once you compare them to the HKS or Comp IIs (in IDPA or IPSC anyway where time counts) you won't want to go back.

I found all of my Comp IIIs used (seems to me Brownells was either out or couldn't ship the Comps, I can't recall). Ran both HKS and Comp IIs in my GP 100 but got rid of em once I had enough Comp IIIs. I think I got the HKS from Brownells & Comp II's from Wolverine, Comp III's like I say I've found locally used.

(I've seen that speedloaderstore.com ^^ referenced in another thread, sounds like a positive lead, never tried them myself.)

Bought 2 speedloaders for my GP 100 from Armadillo Supply (speedloaders.com), they are from Texas. I placed my online order, it did take approx. 1 month for them to arrive. I think it was approx. $44 US for 2 speedloaders - shipped.
How does that compare with Canada?

about the same price - you got 'em and there is the difference. HKS & Comp II's run around 10-13$ new, Comp IIIs and Jetloaders 15-20$ plus; the latter being toughest to find this side of the line. I took it for granted at the time when Brownells wouldn't ship Comp IIIs, that nobody could (Brownell's contractual matters & shipping being a whole unrelated topic). Glad to know better now.

Wow, those look fantastic!

Had mine since they first came to Canada(4" only then). Shot bullseye with it for years. No speedloaders needed for that and haven't ever bothered with 'em myself.
Absolutely essential to do or have a trigger job done. Isn't hard to do and the innards are SS, if you opt to do it yourself.
Ammo, like anything else, will depnd on whether or not you're reloading and what you're doing with the thing. .357 brass loaded with .38 Special target loads(148 grain WC's and Bullseye) works well. If you're not reloading(you will be) you'll have to try a box of as many brands as you can to find the ammo your revolver shoots best.

Hi Thanks all,

Speedloaders.com shows the Maxfire branded ones, are they the ones your talking about? After seeing those 5 stars tho... As I'm not nearly competitive yet, but sure like the pretty stuff....
I currently reload .45ACP and I'm all set up for 357/38 dies, brass, small pistol primers, even got bulleye and some frontier bullets copper washed 158gr I believe I'll double check....

I guessing all guns are different? I thought it might be like some .22 autos ammo finicky... As for 357 thats pricy to buy for testing... I'll be looking to get deals as I go and figure it out from there....

Your all good folk to respond, know its appreciated!!
