So close! If only it was stainless...

I'm also looking for a stainless GP, patiently looking but no luck yet....
I had an order placed at the LGS for a 4.2" stainless GP100 in December of 2011. Though I found one on the EE and couldn't be happier with it, they still haven't called me for it. I have a friend who will tale it but what a wait.
I asked Ruger about getting more GP 100's - stainless in Canada, this is the response I received.
Thank you for your Online Support Request and regret to hear of your frustration.
We have been shipping these firearms, but we have not come close to filling our distributors requirements,
either in the USA or internationally, and some configurations are harder to get than others. In addition,
we sell our goods through a two step process to wholesale distributors, and our distributors sell to
retailers like yours. Because of this, we have no control over the order in which retailers receive their
firearms.
We suspect this is simply an issue of demand drastically exceeding supply. Please be patient; we are
shipping as quickly as we build them.
Best Regards.

I would like to thank whoever bought all the GP 100's.
it was getting too tempting. How about some pics?
Site Sponsor Elwood Epps up top put six new 106mm blued GP100s on their site three days ago. They sold one immediately, to someone who's been watching with his finger on the button the whole time, I'm sure. But the others are still there, which I find odd for such an in-demand gun. I know if they were stainless they'd have lasted ten minutes, but the blue ones are nice.
Great price, too.
All gone already...
My #1 choice as well. A short while back, I did happen to pick up an earlier production 4" GP 100Yeah, but it took five days to sell 'em all (and I do believe my post probably directed most of those buyers).
I'm a S&W man myself, but I do have and enjoy a GP100. I was just surprised they weren't all snapped up in the first day!

I held out for the Ruger SR9s in stainless for over a year and finally broke down and bought a grey one. It was a fine gun but it just wasn't what I wanted. They are all range toys anyway, right. So why not hold out for the one you were dreaming about.
