I originaly posted this on another page but then I realized that you AR guys are probably using these to.

I remember seeing a post on here, I think, with a Ruger Gunsite setup with the scope mounted over the iron sights. The mount was offset far enough to the rear that it basically sat where it would be with the OEM rings.

Anybody as a source where to get one mount like that in Canada?

Thanks

If you want to get an offset cantilevered mount to use with a Ruger Scout you need to determine whether you want to use a conventional scope with an eye relief of three to four inches or a scope with longer eye relief (i.e six inches like the Bushnell 6500 1.25x8). If you want the former you will need a cantilever of three inches, while with the later you will can get away with a two inch cantilever. If you check the SFRC web site you will see they have both the Vortex and American Defense mounts sold under the Vortex name in both quick detachable and fixed versions for either the two inch or three inch cantilever.

Not exactly what your talking about but here's a full rail mount that has integrated open sights included. I have one and it fits my rifle perfectly.
