Hey all,
I own a Ruger Gunsite Scout in 5.56 that is light striking primers consistently. The worst it's been was 5/10 rounds fired of Winchester White Box 5.56, but it happens very often with pretty much every brand of ammunition I've tried.
After some looking around, I'm fairly sure that it's the Firing Pin Spring. Nothing looks out of the ordinary, but I did buy the gun used. Who knows how often it was dry fired.
I've reached out to Gravel to see if then can ship me a new spring. What I'd really like is the Wolf 24lb or 28lb spring for the M77 action (https://www.gunsprings.com/RUGER/77,+MKI+&+MKII/cID2/mID52/dID226), but they aren't shipping out of the US right now it seems.
Anyone have any experience with this? Will the M77 springs from Wolff actually work (if I can get them in)?
