Ruger Gunsite Scout

I've been trying to figure out if the Ruger Gunsite Scout with 16.5 inch barrel has come, or is coming to, Canada. I've seen stainless steel versions with 18 inch barrels on sale at Ellwood's but not the original. Anyone able to explain this one to me?

The export legal Canadian version is slightly different than the US version.

No flashhider, 18'' stainless barrel and action, no Gunsite markings on the stock.

Left hand version has also just been approved for export.

More than likely an error when entering the specs on the website.

I like the sounds of the Canadian version better than the US one. That flash hider was fugly to the extreme and looked even stupider on a bolt rifle. Akin to a satellite dish on a steam locomotive.

Could you get a regular 5 shot magazine as I think the 10 shot is unattractive and who needs that many in the magazine whether hunting or target shooting.

yes you can get 5 rounders from wolverine @ $75 each I got two.

I love this little gun had mine out last two days.

Hey NWO how was your rear sight?.I had to crank mine all the way to the right to centre it on the target. Kinda miffed as there is no more room for adjustment.

I put a Nightforce 2.5-10x24 on mine. I also put a Nightforce 3.5-15x50 on my wife's. I like mine more, but it fills a niche, whereas my wife's is her general purpose rifle.
