I own a Win M70 (different cal) and chose it over the Rugger because I like the bolt mounted 3 position safety over the receiver mounted safety of the Rugger M77, the internal machineing of the receiver was also cleaner than the Ruggers.
The savage ......well it has a hammer forged barrel...um, can't think of anything else positive to say about the savage.
If you are going to go with a Winchester designed cartridge, why not let them also build the gun for it?
