So I try to keep a close eye out for these Ruger 10/22 manlichter stocks but it doeasnt seem like there is a source for aftermarket ones or even replacement new ones from Ruger that I can see. Any thoughts on the best way to get one aside from a whole new gun or making one from scratch ?

I see there is a Ton of info here lol. well boyds doesnt offer this in a custom order so maybe I will have to pick up a wood sporter and splice on a section and make my own .

I am one of those lucky ones with an international stock it was for sale but ive decided to keep it, sorry.
They only seem to come up on the EE now and then and dont seem too popular as an aftermarket item.
Your only other option which you are aware of is to buy a complete gun.
I dont think you got many responses since there arent a lot of spares out there.

Well that would kind of make sense but I would have thought others would possibly have looked and maybe found a source . But I may look for a sporter stock and splice on a chunk and see if I can't make my own just for gits and shiggles

Contact 3screwsloose and ask him what kind of 10-22s he was selling. They were something like "Talo"...?
Not sure if this company makes the stocks or if this was a special run of 10-22 from Ruger.

If you are going to do that, why swap parts? Just keep the new International and sell your old one.
Depends if you'd already modified your old rifle.

Prophet River Firearms briefly carried them (that's where I got mine). The Talo models look to be a special run of different walnut stocks. I've seen the Classic, International, and Takedown under the label, each with walnut stocks.
