Now this one looks like it might be worth buying! It looks much better than the extended barrel versions that have been coming into Canada recently!

I think Ruger comes in through a few different distributors, no? I could be wrong though.

That said, typical Ruger supply chain seems to be that we get a small amount in Canada 4 to 6 months after the US release, then another 4 to 6 months after that we get flooded with them.

I want one now! But I'm pretty sure they won't come in Canada till next year.

If history is any indicator, you are quite right about that. I wouldn't expect to see these on Canadian store shelves until April at the earliest; more likely June. And even then in pretty limited quantities for the first several months or so.

...kinda Beretta Neo's looking "pew, pew, pew" type gun. I think I'll stick to my 1911 .22's, unless there is something very special here that I'm missing. What's the retail value of these?

The ones with extended barrels were going for $489 up here so I'd think these would be about the same. But I'd say it looks more Sig mosquito-ish than Neo-ish. The Neo has that weird grip angle. But either way, a decent little .22 for under $500.

Hi guys. I bought this SR22 pistol a couple of weeks ago and have had it out to the range twice now with about 500 rounds trough it. Fantastic little gun and works great. I ran several different types of ammo through it and they all cycled well with no trouble. It is extremely well made, has excellent fit and finish and a few guys that were out there with me and had a chance to shoot it agree 100%. It also comes with two magazines.

I bought one a few months back. Put about a 100 rounds through it before it fell apart. Turns out as the slide was moving back and forth and the guide rod spring chewed up the takedown lever. The takedown lever would pop open and the slide, spring and guide rod would separate from the frame. Sent it to Ruger for warranty work. Haven't seen it since.:(

Ok well that is not re assuring... was it this long slide model and where did you get it?

Short slide.Got it at CSC.
Seems to be a hit or miss issue.
Some work flawlessly. Some don't
Ruger knows there's an issue. They just don't seem to know what to do about it.

I have one and it has works flawless, have about 1100 rds of random ammo thru it.
It is small but with the bigger grip and mag extension the gun feels fine.
Bought mine at Calgary Shooting Centre.
