i made a cam lobe for my ruger 44 mag. the action had a ramp in the receiver but no lobe on the bolt.
this was fine for pistol ammo . i don,t own a 44 mag handgun and don,t plan on ever getting one. so
all my 44 mag cases have been reamed to use large rifle primers to take rifle pressures. i shoot my 240 grain
bullets at 444 marlin velocitys with less recoil. with this increased pressure. it was hard to to extrack the case.
the pictures tell the rest of the story. this was made useing $500 a pound trick welding rod. oh, i also extended
the bolt handle for scope use.
