Ruger M77 Hawkeye .260???

Hi there, Just bought a Ruger 77 'All Weather' SS in .260 It seems 'not' listed on Ruger's website (anywhere..) Wondering if anybody knows when Ruger made these rifles and maybe why they aren't available anymore? Thanks

Sort of sounds like it might be rebarreled, I'd like to have a go at it though if you find yourself tripping over it though!

Ruger made it in .260 a few years ago... They have streamlines their offerings over the past couple years... Go to the Sturm website and research your serial number.

I have one in a compact version and one in the SS All Weather like yours. Great rifles, great calibres but mediocre sales, I guess. I love mine.

They were dropped 2-3 years ago with the compact ones as well, about the time the 6.5 CM came out.

I just noticed that Savage offers the 260 in their lightweight 11/111 rifle. I may have to start saving my pennies and scour for a left handed model with that ###y fluted bolt.
