I have a Ruger M77 Hawkeye in .204 Ruger, has a beautiful wood stock on it and I find I NEVER use it because of that. I prefer hunting coyotes with a durable synthetic type stock. Any advice on what type of stock I should go with? Thanks

Call Snapshots at 1-450-427-0052 or email at snapshots@videotron.ca

They reopen on Jan. 7th... send them the serial number and request a synthetic stock to fit.

Is your rifle an R model or a VT model?

Walnut with 22" barrel or Laminate with 26" barrel?

Find a plastic Ruger factory synthetic.
Or factory laminate.
McMillan is another option but they are becoming extremely pricey.

If it is a 22" sporter barrel, I have a Ruger factory short action synthetic stock here that will be a drop in fit.

Depends what you want. And how much you want to spend

Ruger Tupperware stocks will do the job.

Bell & Carlson makes a bit nicer composite stock.

MacMillan makes top notch stocks.

I have a Ruger synthetic stock I ordered for a Ruger M77 (Tang safety) in 7mmRM. Did not fit. Think it might fit your short action. I’ll send it to you for $20 + shipping.
Actually have 2 if anyone else wants one.

If it was a standard long action it would not fit your medium contour 7 RM... but will not fit his .204 Short Action.

Like Hoyt stated, if it’s a Ruger factory synthetic stock, it’s for a MKII or Hawkeye (same inlet). You just have to figure out if it’s a short or long action.

If you had ordered it for your 7mm Rem Mag and your only mistake was MKII instead of tang safety, it’s probably a long action and won’t fit the op’s .204.

I sent you a pm.
