Ruger M77 Hawkeye vs Weatherby Vanguard S2

Definitely not the shortest, most svelte or lightweight rifle out there, but it feels pretty solid and fits well.

there's a thread on campfire about McMillan sako pattern stocks vanguards/howa's...that will make anyone on the fence question things a little harder, the stainless vanguard in the McMillan with nice hinged bottom metal and new trigger with nicer safety lever is a piece....but point it is, you can't get that out of the box, you gotta change parts, stock and trigger/safety to do it as right as the 77 stainless Hawkeye comes out of the box and even then it's a tough set of trade offs between them, but at least it's close enough then to say 'both' perhaps ;)

We'll see if this one is deficient at all first lol. But, "both" always beats "one or the other"
