Ruger m77 mark2

I have a M77 Mark II Varmint model chambered in 308. Completely stock, came with Tapered stainless bull barrel, target crowned, free floating barrel, two stage, very light trigger, don't see the need for the famous Timney trigger. The action is strong as hell. Actually with 180 gr Federal shock is MOA at 300m haven't shot anything further...

Only complain is the space between the free floating barrel and the laminate stock is a bit too wide. It's other wise a very very accurate gun. I can get sub MOA with cheap Norinco surplus FMJ ammo at 100m.
 
I plan on getting a Ruger Mk77 in 30-06 once i sell my 710. We own two rugers (10/22 and 77/22) both are really good rifles.

I have a SS Laminated 25-06 and it is a accurate rifle with heavier bullets 100-120gr. i did have it glass bedded. The action on the MKII is one of my favorites for smoothness and strength. The only thing i don't like about this model is it is heavy, the least of any complaints.
 
I had a Ruger M77 RS and it wasn't a hugely accurate gun until I got it glass bedded. It became a tack driver. The trigger was adjusted down to 2.5 lbs and it was smooth and crisp.
 
I love my M77 Mkll :D I had the trigger worked at a gunsmith, it's as accurate as any sporting rifle & damned purdy!!!

Have two 77's one regular in 308 and the lighter mountain version in 243 both shoot 1 1/2" at 150 yds.. You just have to wait longer between rounds with the thin walled barrel on the 243. Never had to take a second shot on game though.
