Ruger M77 Tang Safety, red recoil pad

Beauty score! I had one in 270 at one time, very similar to yours just mine had no sights. Like a fool I squandered it off somewhere, I have had a couple of MKIIs as well, but Ruger changed the ergonomics just enough that the newer version didn't shoulder well for me. Congrats on your new/old rifle!

Beautiful rifle. Let us know how it shoots. That stock is exceptional. They are solidly built rifles with very good factory triggers, and the tang safety is very convenient for many used to doubles, singles and shotguns.

Took it out yesterday, used the iron sights a Winchester Deer season XP 130 gr ammunition.

Super smooth action and I'm sure I can hit a target repeatedly with decent accuracy inside 100 yds.

Time to start thinking about selling the model 70 that been on the wall for 30 years.
Scope was installed about 10 years ago but I never got around to sighting it in.
