I am considering putting a timney 1100 in my Ruger guide gun.... except I can’t seem to find one in Canada. Has anyone seen one at a sponsor here? Have you any other suggestions for an aftermarket trigger and where can I find them? Thanks

Both my MKII and Alaskan Hawkeye still have their original triggers, they just have been massaged by a gunsmith. Both break nicely a 3lbs. Probably an easier and cheaper option I’d you can’t find a Timney.

Ruger's LC6 triggers are the best on the market. They can be easily reset if that's what you need. Personally,I wouldn't change it unless it was broken somehow. Even then,I'd only replace it with another LC6. I don't see any improvement swapping it out for a Timney, but, whatever floats your boat.

It seems that way. Thanks for the replies and I’ll be making a trip to the smith to get it sorted.

I did some polishing on the trigger and sear tonight. Watched a video online then went for it. Also shortened the spring a little and had good results. I don’t have a scale to test but my guess is around 3lbs and minimal creep. Solid improvement for an evenings work.
