Ruger started producing the M77 Mark II in 1989 but continued production of the M77R (without sights, such as yours) and M77RS (with sights) "Top Tang Safety" until 1992 when the model was discontinued.

BTW, I need torx screws for the Ruger rings. Seems hard to find.

She's done. Slotted screws in the garbage, torx screws installed. Slowly becoming a Ruger fan. The older 77's were certainly well made and finished. Sunday, I'll find out how she shoots.
