Lots of guys loved the tang safety rifles but I always preferred the mm II/ Hawkeyes
I'll go against the general consensus so far and say that I prefer the old tang safety models, in spite of them being push feed. The safety is exactly where it should be. The tang safety models were much smoother in operation than the MK II in .338 that I had. There were also subtle changes in stock design between the two, that I don`t particularly care for, especially in the RSI models. The originals were designed by Len Brownell, and are the best looking stocks to ever come on a factory rifle.
headamage - canoe paddles are the FUGLEYstocks EVERY MADE on the Planet earth ! JMHO ! LOL The rifles are ALL OK !

When they first came out I hated them... really thought they where stupid looking and would be nasty to shoot. Years later I got one on a deal in a 338win and it turned out I loved it.
