Can one of you confirm that what I'm looking at is actually the firing pin stop? Based on their diagram I expected it to be solid and what's there is hollow.

I'm new to guns in general so I could also use some pointers on how to properly clean and lubricate a new gun before the first trip to the range. Is there a sticky somewhere that I'm missing that shows recommended products and techniques?
