Hey Fella's!

If you had the choice of both the Ruger Mark III Hunter or the 22/45 which would you chose?

Also, what would be the ideal barrel length.....I was thinking of the 6 7/8"

Thanks

The Hunter is a lot more money but worth it. The 22/45 is good for simulating the Browning 45 angle. Both work fine.

Without a doubt, both are good guns, but I lean towards (and own) the MKIII. Some people have issues with the grip angle not being the same as other pistols, but I think once you get the heft of an all steel frame MKIII stainless in your hands, you won't be able to wipe the grin off your face.

Something polymer just doesn't have the ability to do. :stirthepot2:

If it were more affordable the Mark III hunter, but I have a Mark III 22/45, and Im very pleased with it for the price point. When Im not shooting it, Im thinking about shooting it lol.

The grip is a little thin on the 22/45. It's not an issue for me, but I suspect it may be for some people.

I found the grip on my MK III to be a little on the thin side as well, so I beefed it up with a Hogue monogrip. The factory grips make it look a little classier, but the Hogue fills it out nicely.
