Ruger Mark III Sights

Hello all,

I have a new Ruger Mark III Target which I have been using for target shooting at the range for the past couple of weeks. It seems that after every shooting session the rear sight loosens and needs to be re-tightened with the small set screw. This annoying to say the least.

Overall I'm not too fond of the stock sights which come with the pistol. The front sight seems overly wide. Does anyone have any suggestions for some replacement sights which may improve my scoring ability with this pistol?

Nut and Bolt Locker

Comes in a small re-sealable tube. Costs a couple of bucks. Canadian tire should carry this. Prevents movement but breaks free with a simple screwdriver.

Forgot to mention that purple locktite will also work and is designed for parts under 19mm. It also breaks loose with a screwdriver. Just don't use the red or green locktite. They'll be a bi*ch to loosen if you did.

I bought a mark 3 hunter which came stock with the hi viz sights. I love them, they are super accurate. only problem was a small pin in the front of the rear sight keeps wanting to fall out. I think ill try some locktite on it like JMJ mentioned.

$39.60USD and hope that they ship north. Even if you can find an aftermarket one for a bit less, I think that having an OEM Ruger sight would be worth a bit. I have been wanting to order one of these for a while and just haven't got to doing it. Maybe it can be a stocking stuffer to myself.:D

EDIT: I just tried ordering the above sight and they will not ship it north. I guess it would kill kittens or babies if I got it up here. Friggin' State Department BS anyway.
